Hack: The proper meaning.

What is hacking..? Hmmm.. Most of the people get sacred hearing the word hacking. Come On.. It's nothing . If bill gates wouldn't have hacked, there would have been on basic. If steve didn't hack, we would not have apple. Ya Ya.. Most of the folks out there don't know it. But it is true that to become a ethical white hat hacker you have to first know got to hack. For example, to become a good cop you have to first know the mind and read the techniques of robbing. The problem here is that most of them land in the bad part in the process. This is quite emberassing for the hacking community. Hacking can be classified into three parts. 1.Black hat. This is the first stage in the process. Here you learn how to hack. How to really hack in the way of a professional. Here you have full liberty . No rules no control. 2.Grey hat. This is a luke warm stage. Here you start knowing the goods and bads of hacking. Know the downfall of it. To be even more frank, you do less hacking and have to start to develop a bit of fear which helps in the next stage. 3. White hat. Here you learn the rules and regulations and cyber laws. Your fear in the previous stage, helps you learn there controlled ways of hacking. But this is moreover kinda boring and a bit of like professional stuff which puts on a lot of restrictions. Hope you came to know what it really is and what is behind It'. More to come in the nest post....!

Cricket in India

Cricket, it is a sport. Ya, it's really a good sport and I love it too and play it a lot when I was young. But here in India, it is a religion. Every match is like a festival. You can see colorful skies both during the beginning and at the end of each match. Every match is more like a war. The stadium is the battle ground. Every player, every spectator and every other person both physically and virtually present , are in some way a part of the battle. A lot of humor is also found in the play. It is not that they have any vengeance or any kind of enmity among themselves. But the reason is enthuse, their involvement, their involvement. It's a passion for every other Indian. It is another known fact that every other Indian wishes to be a cricketer at any point of time in his life. More over we can find alot of and a wide range of people playing cricket at many places. They play at beach, park, streets and these include from the kindergarten kids to the men on their 40-50s.

It is good to hear this. But, cricket is not the only sport all over the world. Seeing from the point of diversity, we can say that India and Indians have become selfish confining themselves only to cricket. Take for example soccer. It is a great sport and there is no Indian team for the international audience. As a matter of fact, no other sport has a team. Hmmm....  It's quite embarrassing. There should be motivation and more concentration about this issue. We see Indians seeing the Olympics with eagerness to see at least a single gold medal in the chart. But we confine ourselves and get satisfied with a single gold medal. More training and more number of participants are required. Oh!! Wait.. India is the second largest country in terms of population. There is no willing parent who is really interested to send his/her child to the line of spot or any other line which the kid likes and overlay the burden of studies over them (only if they think it is a burden). Academics are a part of everything. Basic academics are required for everyone but after that he/ she can choose their own field of study. Studies not only include science and theory and engineering, it also includes, sports, army, community service, journalism, photography, artist, cobbler and so on. What’s wrong here?? Here, no one wants to think out of box and moreover they want things to happen in the way they want it to be.

Come on guys it is 21st century..... Think different. Peruse your goals. It's now or never. We got only one life man. Oh.. I'm not an atheist... :P But it is only once that we remember this living. So, what are we waiting for? PUll up your socks!! Go ahead, achieve something and put your name on the books and let history register you!

Road to happiness

After many years of experience in my life, let me tell this to folks who are reading this blog, that whatever you are doing, develop a liking towards it and do. Once if you start liking your job, then there is no work but all time playing only. Most of us don't get what we expect in our lives, starting from a mobile phone to motor cycle. But once when we start loving them, it will be so precious that we won't be able to give them up.

I did not like my school and I did not want to go to school everyday. After my school days are over, when I turn back and see now, I believe that they are the best part in my whole life. This happens to many of us. We keep on blaming about one particular thing and once it is over, we will shamelessly tell that those were the amazing moments in our life.

In your career or employment, if you are in deep trouble or you think that you are a miserable failure, it is up to you to turn the situation in favor of your side. A good example is a loud mouthed boss who never gets satisfied. Given a chance, you may even get a shotgun and shoot his brain off. But, that is not the solution. For certain circumstances, we need to go "off the track" , i.e, find his liking and disliking and empathize why he is shouting. Is it his inherent nature or because of his superior pressure he is using you as an outlet. Once you find answers for all these, you will be able to enjoy your office.

Some people complain that they have miserably failed in their lives even after getting many chances. My dear friends, go through those failures and you will amass rich experience. Learn the trick of turning everything in favor of you. The failures will be with respect to the most desired way in which you wanted to cruise in the journey called life. If that way is not working, look for constructive alternatives which might even bring some of your hidden talents in you.

Therefore, as everything has a way in, it also has a way out. It is just the question of time, as to how are you coming to the world and contributing towards it.

Disclaimer: If rape is inevitable, enjoy it!!! ;)

Earth: The countdown has began!

Census is being taken once in 10 years in our country(India). After prolonged political arguments over the methodology of classifying the people based on caste, the Census has been finally taken. But what I find amusing is that in between this Census periods, I wonder if any economists in our country or for that matter in the world have ever bothered to check the growth of population and if there is adequate food to feed the masses.

In the olden days, a King will be ruling a province and with the help of his Ministers and Loyal Subjects, he will be able to find out the activities of his subjects as well as the availability of food because the distance between his  subjects and himself is very less.

Nowadays, the concept of Ruler is gone and loyalty is also gone. Another important thing to be noted is that, in the olden days, population used to be very less and people lived close to nature. This is an era of population explosion, with increasing needs and means couldn't even meet the ends. As a result, scarcity of food has arisen, even though, food revolution has taken place and mechanized food cultivation is taken as a remedial measure to meet many hungry mouths. Still it does not work out in the current scenario.

Poverty lines are being defined by the Government as well the United Nations and what is the plight of those Below the Poverty Line?

What has caused this havoc in this beautiful place called earth and what are the consequences of it?

Causes:

  • Population explosion
  • Corrupt Government
  • Increase in poverty
  • Jealousy admist people to amass wealth
  • Destruction of nature for natural resources
Consequences:
  • Malnourished people/obese people leading to poor quality of life
  • Medical facilities being a necessity
  • Natural disasters and calamities
  • Wars and other man made calamities
  • Wiping off, of excess/unprivileged population
The above said consequences are similar to that of Malthusian Theory of Population. Malthusian theory was criticized that it is a fallacy which would never happen.

Once India used to be a country with buffer stock with agricultural surplus. Considering the above cause - effect happenings, and after occurring of many events like tsunamis and terrorist attacks and bomb blasts, which are both natural and man made, the man has turned the nature as well as his fellow men upon himself. Now, the future of many countries are still a big question mark.....

Share Market

Share markets always fancies many people because, they find many of their friends, relatives and many others making profit. So they are also tempted to invest their hard earned money either through mutual fund players or in their individual capacity. Mutual funds are always a safe bet as against going in individually.

Then why people go in individual capacity? Because, they can amass more profits, which the mutual funds can't do it for them at an high exposure towards risk.

What are all the precautions to be taken if you are going to go on your own?

1.     Have a reliable broker, who can fetch you shares at the prices you want.

2.     The most common mistake done by many shareholders who go in their individual capacity is that they do not have any knowledge of the company in which they are about to buy the shares. They should have the following pulse parameters by going through the company's Annual Report:
·        Earnings Per Share as reported in the annual report.
·        Earnings before Interest and Taxes.
·        Ratio between Earnings before Interest and Taxes and Turnover.
·        Ratio between Earnings before Interest and Taxes and Net Worth of the Company.
·        Cash flow statement, which is a vital parameter that indicates whether the company has got money in hand to pay its shareholders, etc.

3.     Moreover, share markets are bound to severe fluctuations. It might bring you wind fall gains or sweep     away whole of your investments. "prepare for the worst"

4.     Diversification of your portfolio investments is an essential ingredient for success in share market. Eg: If you find the pharmaceutical sector to be more profitable that you pump funds in various pharma industries. Your portfolio will be shining. Imagine, if the whole pharma industry goes down due to some reason. Then you are the looser!!! Therefore invest in various other sectors like IT, infrastructure, telecommunications etc.

5.     Finally, to play in the share market in personal capacity, one should understand this ugly truth that they will loose at some point of time and they won't be gaining always, unless and until that person is an expert.

There is no win-win situation in share market. At the same time, if you are going to strike at the right time, you are the champ!!

Windows mobile

The come back by Microsoft in its mobile field is really great to see!We didn't see any significant updates in the
OS for a while in the middle while we've seen a new monster from Google called "Android".
The major thing behind the good and the popularity of the Microsoft's windows mobile 7 is its interface which is quite similar to that of the desktops and laptops that we're using in our home and at work. The wide range of application. Not so far did it have that wide range of apps. But now it's really hot! Though Apple has got it's own app store, it's a good lick for those Microsoft fans. The creation of windows mobile apps is also quite easy as it is available for downloading the developer tools. Apart from this if you are a student, you can avail the offer in Microsoft for downloading the full version of the back end programming tools like C#, and V studio. And it's quite easy to have the tutorials through you tube. Windows mobile, is it another crap in the heap or is it a great comeback for Microsoft and another kick start for itself in the mobile platform?

GOD a notion, TRUE or FALSE

The journey begins here
Once I went to a place called Mawlynnong in Meghalaya (North East India). People told that there are living root bridges and I was really awestruck when I heard it. On the way to that place wonderful valleys and scenery which are perfect for post cards could be seen. I had to take a local guide as I was going with my family and when we arrived at the trek point we were given some sticks made of bamboo. The guide didn't carry any sticks as he was experienced.

Follow someone if you are ignorant.
The guide told us that we will be seeing a single living root bridge and a double-decker living root bridge. The child inside me was jumping to see them.
We started our trekking and there were cement steps laid down which was wet and covered algae. As a precautionary warning, guide told us that the steps would be very slippery and not to step on the algae but on the drier portion of the rocks. As our trekking commenced we progressed because we were going downhill and we couldn’t find much of strain. We could find lots of pineapple and jackfruits embraced by the nature itself without any man’s intervention. While we were progressing, suddenly, one amongst us slipped and fell down. No injuries.

These dark steps lead to enlightenment!
From then onwards, everyone started to look at the steps carefully and watch out for the algae and occasionally lift their heads to see the nature’s beauties. Further we reached the single living root bridge. With utmost care, they climbed the bridge to see what is there on the other side, but unfortunately the other side was so dense that it was left unexplored.

Single root bridge: Nature's beauty
So for the sake of pleasure we crossed the bridge but had a satisfaction. The bridge formation was as if to facilitate the humans to cross sides beneath which a river with high current was flowing.

We had to quickly start for the want of time in order to reach the double-decker living root bridge. Further on the way, we found pure water flowing from the hill and every one of us had a refreshing sip from it. After having a sip, I really felt sorry for those water manufacturers in the market.

Purity comes from above
Further, while going to the other bridge, there were no proper steps, but for rocks which are really slippery. We also had to cross two shaky bridges made of iron and steel and go inside the deep jungle and further climb up to reach that place. While climbing down, including the guide, almost all of us fell down, in spite of having the stick. Except for the guide and one amongst us, almost everyone took rest.
Guide can only show the path. We should walk along it!

With an extra effort we climbed up and reached a village, from where living Root Bridge is not so far away. We could hardly see only 5 to 6 houses in that village in the heart of the valley. From there onward, we just walked without the use of stick and saw the Double – Decker living root bridge.

Double is always good
On seeing it we climbed and walked on it easily to and fro without any fears and there was a waterfall besides the bridge, where I had a dip along with the guide. We sat there in the bank of the river and felt that the effort was worthwhile.
Afterwards, in the village we had red tea, to energize us to climb back to the place from where we started and met a local gentleman whom I thought I would never meet in my whole life.
Climbing back was indeed tiresome, we all watched our foot path in order to not fall down, as a result of which we missed the hills, valleys and nature’s beauties. Finally, we made it to the starting point and threw the stick……..

This trek taught me what life is all about and where man and God are related. The whole trek is like our life and we will have many goals to achieve in it. (e.g. to see the living root bridge.) The path has been already laid down for us and we always worry in our mundane lives as to how finish the tasks. Let me reassure you, there is no need to worry because things are all set for you. Sometimes the path maybe slippery, but because of that one shouldn’t abandon the journey.

As we started to watch out for the steps and leave the scenic beauties in the trek, do not be so obsessed with your mundane life and leave out the some of the real beauties in our lives such as our friends/parents/siblings etc. The guide who guided us during this trek maybe your parents/teacher/friends/religious leaders etc. At times, they can also be wrong, because even my experienced guide slipped. In the individual capacity, you need to find out which is better for you. You may have certain preconceived notions about certain people, whom you wouldn’t have even met. They are the ones who will be helping you when your energy levels are down. And finally, WHERE IS GOD?

Pure bliss.
God came with me throughout my journey. I did not realize it. I relied upon him to climb all the valleys and mountains. I rested upon him when I was tired. I fondled with him unknowingly. And finally, I threw him when the journey was over without realizing the fact that I will be requiring him if I had to get down there once again. It is the STICK, which stick with us as God throughout our journey called life. Even if we throw it, it comes back in some other form to help us.

Internet speed: FUP

Whats FUP ( fair usage policy)?
Its a policy adopted by the telecommunication network to ensure fair division of bandwidth, speed and usage for every user in the the network of ISP.
Well what is it??
Ya ya.. Its actually a sharing technique. We can see * mark near every isp provider's banner for unlimited plans. That has two meanings.
1. It is restricted to a particular amount of usage like may be up to some 15GB. After that it scrolls your bill further more and make a hole in your wallet.
2. Another thing is that, after a certain usage you have your speed reduced. For example upto some 10GB you get 2mbps and then you'll have some 256k or 512k.

Any ways, if you are ready to spend more, you'll get more. So, don't try more on this to breach or something like that as its sophistication is very high!
Well, that's all about fair usage policy. All the best with your connection. Fell free to comment.. :)

Android: Is it just the beginning ?

Well, here we go. This is a small comparison made by myself and some of my friends regarding the differences and all those stuff between ios and android. While anyways the ios is a great revolution and I always say its the best app store which the world ever had. One more thing, the brand apple. Apple has got its own big fame which is the major part of driving its audience. Later yesterday I was watching the videos in the careers section of facebook and saw the working atmosphere in facebook. Well, I was quite surprised to see a majority of people using mac there!
I admit even I own an I touch. But the android is still in the cocoon. It's not yet blossomed. You know what google does! And we all know that.Google another big giant over there in the silicon valley has the most number of employees all over. Even I developed some apps for the android. But i see a lot of backwardness in the android store, then the way its marketed and the apps made also. Having the largest people in their network google can make wonders though it is making it, its not sufficient for the micro industry. By, micro industry I mean about the android market. It is also very bad to see that people developing android apps don't think much and most of them have the same app in the apple store created in the android platform. The backhand of an app is almost going off as the most of them are found. Like sync with network, multiplayer over bluetooth, wlan and all those. But the design part. The interface, the creativity, it doesn't go off the market always. Because it changes according to fashion. The android has got a big market in the third party phone developers they include giants like, samsung , htc to minors like micromax and t mobile.

Secret of our lives

There are many theories with respect to the creation of this universe. Many scientific theories and some religious views of many major religions often have came to limelight and few were accepted by a set of people and others were discarded. Regardless to those theories, God gave to human beings, a beautiful place to live in and it is commonly known as planet earth.

In this world man created many beautiful things out of wisdom and destroyed the beauty of this wonderful place out of his foolishness. There is no unity amongst us. In ancient days, it was proclaimed in many religions that the God himself used to walk along with folks and take care of justice.

Now, people feel that injustice have started to show its face and most let down even don't have the faith in God. So what happened and why is it happening? Where is He?

All the beauties and wonders created by man and havoc caused by him are being done by God through man. In olden days, we find God fighting for righteousness, who was personified with the traits of Just, Valor and Blissful against the demons who are Ruthless, Cunning and Meanie. We can find all these attributes amongst us. The trait which prevail the most shall decide what we are and for what cause we are in this earth.

Many go to various places, read books and convert religions (which I don't blame them) to know their purpose of their birth and to find "who they actually are?" The sum and substance of us are made of God and his beautiful traits and kindness. But at times, we forget that our noble cause and we turn to be demons and fight with each other.

Harmony and peace with mutual co-existence is required for brighter future of our next generations as well as this earth. Always be open minded and patient.
